Mr & Mrs Chin - Wedding Photography

Congratulation to the newly wed couple... Mr & Mrs Chin....
I am having a blast covering their wedding on Saturday and got them into the "Infinity Pool" on Marina Bay Sand Skypark the next day...

It was raining cats and dogs when we were on the skypark on actual wedding day... so can't do the shots...

It was really really crowded up on the Skypark at MBS... it almost feels like Bondi Beach on hot summer days....

Well, big post processing work for me for the actual wedding shots... so I have decided to show the "day after the big day" shots instead....

I love the mood and the connection between the newly wed couple....

Regards,

Hart

Wedding Photography - Emerald Hill

Emerald Hill is one of the most charming place in Singapore.

I have been privileged enough to photograph some of the most amazing home at Emerald Hill and being featured in Expat Living Magazine....

Sarah and Leon met me over at The Pines.... and they told me that they love my work and would contact me for wedding photography....

They did....

5 Emerald Hill is a special place for them... it is where they hang out, chill and bond...
and hence it was selected as the location for their wedding shots.

I simply love the "moment" they share and immense personal connection that makes the pictures special... Lighting was perfect when we step in to 5 Emerald Hill and Que Pasa for a shoot.

I thought to just show 1 image as sneak peek... well, I could not resist....

Sarah & Leon.... this is for you guys.... thank you for sharing same vision....

Regards,

Hart

Engagement Photography - Chris & Nataly

Hello...

It is funny the day I decided that I am going to branch out to do more "wedding photography" while will still focus most part of my work on my portraiture work with Children photography, I received an email from Chris asking me to quote for their wedding the day after I have decided...

Met up with both of them in my studio and basically "got the job" on the spot... what excite me the most is I know that I am going to have a good time with both of them as they are such a nice couple with lots of connection in their body language... I just love to photograph couple like Chris and Nataly...

Anyway... enough said... here is the engagement session I did...

Very lovely couple with lots of "connection"... it was a very interesting shoot around old terrace houses  in their neighborhood...

I love the old and vintage look of the area and the greenery shots was about 5-10 minutes walk away from their home... As both Chris and Nataly wasn't from Singapore, I have added in "Singapore" backdrop in the shoot so at least when they moved away from Singapore, there is something for them to remember... We spend about an hour shooting...

I can't decide on a couple of images so I decide to show them in "Story Board" mode of the images that I think it is the best summarize the session....

Here it is....

Hope you enjoy the images as much I enjoy shooting the session...

Hart

Overseas wedding....

Hello again...

Second day in Adelaide, Australia and the weather has been really hot and dry... I don't mind the heat anyway since heat in Singapore is about the same, actually like the dryness as I don't sweat as much.

Fun couple which make the wedding shoot a little more fun... Finish a simple ceremony at the Birth and Marriage venue and thought we are going to old churches to do some shots, but alley way was just too interesting to ignore, so we end up spending all the time shooting there for the outdoor shoot. Except the last images, all images are taken just around the corner, about 5 minutes walk to each other...

For mood, I have decided to show most of the images in sepia tone image, except 2 images which I think works better in color. It was really bright and sunny in Adelaide today but I would really prefer darker and raining mood, so been post processing the images to simulate what I have in mind.

I love the mood it portray and I certainly miss taking wedding shots in Australia.... I had so much fun and glad that I accepted this wedding assignment.

Wedding - Raffles Hotel

Since I set foot in Singapore, it is always a dream to cover a wedding in Raffles Hotel.

Raffles Hotel has one of the most stunning classic architectural in "everything" modern city of Singapore.

It was great to received an email for a quote for a wedding service in Raffles Hotel. Meeting the couple for the first time for further consultation at the hotel was great. I knew if I could photograph this couple at this hotel will be a dream come true.

This is why, I really want this wedding assignment:

1. The couple...
They are such a lovely couple and the connection that they share is beautiful and natural.

2. The location...
A dream come true... Wedding at Raffles Hotel... what else would I ask for?

Of course, with any wedding quotation, the couple will choose who they will go with as their final decision for their photographer for their big day and we are pleased that we were the chosen one.

All the preparation and the nerve in the beginning become so overwhelming... my hands were shaking from the excitement.....

Here is one outside the hotel..... More to come...

Wedding Photography

Has been out since 5am this morning and just got back 15 minutes ago... time now is 12:50am, Yes, it is a wedding shoot. Long and tiring shoot.

I must admit that wedding photography is tiring as it require the photographer to be alert all the time and be creative at the same time.

However, it is always a pleasure to be at a wedding to capture some of the most amazing moments that unfold.

Our love for wedding photography hasn't change one bit even though it is tiring. The thing that inspired us everytime during the wedding is the story behind the couple. How they met, how they went through everything to come to this commitment.

It is always beautiful to see those lovely smile on the brides... the tears from the parents... the minute details in preparation, the anticipation of the bride and groom.

We are fortunate to be selected by our client to be part of their wedding. To most, wedding is one of the milestone in life which deserve huge celebration, others feels that the celebration should only be shared with a small group of close friends and relos.

Here is one we captured today of the venue. The rest will have to wait.

What a week.......

It has been an interesting week.... extremely busy with last minute Christmas order and countless shoots....

It is all start with a shoot at East Coast Park which started an hour later than schedule and after 20 minutes of shoot, it started pouring...

Follow by more shoots throughout the weeks and countless hours spent on retouching to fulfill the rush order...

The highlight of the week is to cover a baptism ceremony in Fullerton Hotel...

Gorgeous interior, interesting event as well as very special people.... Everywhere you see is full of opportunity... and the balcony view was absolutely gorgeous...

The week ended with a wedding shoot in Grand Capthorne Hotel.... and the view from the couple's suite is simply irresistible...

For the first time for the last 10 months, my arms feel numb from lifting all the heavy equipment to get the shots and retouching... we thought August was busy....

We thank all our clients who trusted us for recording some of the most wonderful moments of their life... truly enjoy myself this week, meeting lots of interesting people and visited some of the nicest places in Singapore.
