Happiness....

Hello...

It was very busy months since my last post. We had about 30% more shoots as compared to last year this time of the year and it doesn't seem to stop just yet.

So business wise, it is much better than what we budgeted but it comes with a price of time....

On average, we have been working about 12-15 hours a day for the last couple of months, just to get things in order and sincere apologies for the late replies....

We owe this achievement to our clients who has never fail to recommend their friends to us and we greatly appreciate it. So far, we have achieved substantial amount of "word of mouth" advertising from our lovely clients.

Of course, end of the year is the time for giving (matter of fact, it should be whole year), we have decided not to do our own charity shoot but to help out in larger scale charity events. The results were really overwhelming.

The first charity raised $190,000 for RDA which is one of the charity that we always help out from time to time. Second charity was smaller scale, however, both of them were lots of fun.

The best things about charity is we get to enjoy what we are doing without having to worry about the $$$ side which tend to gets in the way. Best of all, you will meet lots of people which have such a big heart to give what they have, financially and/or dedicated their time to make the event a success. Without these people, the world is much dimmer...

It makes me happy....

I was with at SGH and chance upon a magazine that talks about "Happiness"... the question is, can $$$ buy happiness....

Well, they argue both sides... and I have to agree that $$$ don't bring happiness. Interesting survey done for 143 countries in the world, Singapore rank 131 in terms of happiness although average household income is hovering around $7k a month which is a lot of $$$. The happiest country is Nigeria which average income is much lower.

Money buys you material that makes life comfortable but somehow that doesn't put much smile on someone's face....

It is life simple things that makes us laugh.... a simple smile from a child... so free and so simple... it pierce through sadness a lot better than having materialistic comfort which often don't last for seconds.

Life is often full of trials which you have to go through... some will leave scars and some will wash away with time and some will stay with you...

If you manage to learn a little more about yourself and enjoying life from every crisis that you have been through, you should be happy...

As we grow older... every experience and every choice that we take, will make us who we are...

Smile is free to give... if you see your friend, colleague, family, etc... why not stop, smile and a simple nice greeting... how are you? Life is wonderful if everyone give a smile to everyone they meet....

So go on then... spread the love and remember that smiling is free and what you get in return is priceless.

Good night...

I thought Bhutan would rank first since they measure their GDP by the happiness level of their citizen. Ha.

Yeah money can't bring happiness and like you say, its usually the little simple things in life that brings a smile. Sadly, most of us are caught up in this fast paced high pressure environment that we miss the simple things that is usually right in front of us.

How true. I guess we tend to need reminders like this to reflect on what we've been working for in life.
